Restaurant Review: Voodoo Doughnuts Portland

Voodoo Doughnuts - Assorted

How can you go to Portland and not try Voodoo Doughnuts?

Voodoo Doughnuts

Well we had to go, and somehow we got lucky and were able to walk right in. I’m not joking. I hear horror stories about the lines for this place and we just waltzed right in. Place was small and colorfully decorated. There were SO many different donuts. Completely forgot that I wanted to little jelly filled voodoo man. Then ordered 2 dozen donuts. I would give one box to a friend I was going to visit, and while the Hubster was in the convention, I’d survive off donuts. Sounds like a great plan doesn’t it? By day three of this plan I was just done with donuts. Despite that–

Voodoo Doughnuts are delicious. They’re just every bit as magical as they say. Soft, fluffy doughnut and unique and cleaver toppings. My favorite was the No Name Doughnut–that’s the one on the middle right of the top picture with chocolate frosting, rice krispies, and peanut butter drizzle. Holy cow was that delicious. Hubster’s favorite, the Dirt Doughnut Doughnut–the one with Oreo’s in the bottom picture.

Hello!

Avatar for ApronWarriorI’m Carolann and I’m obsessed with food. Seriously, I live and sleep thinking about food. I’m on a mission to create doable, real food recipes
from scratch as well as living a more natural life style. I also believe that life should be celebrated and one of the best ways to do that is around a dinner table with friends and family (+ a game for some extra bits of laughter and edge of your seat competition). If you’re new here, I invite you to check out some of my favorite recipes or my story that lead me to real food.
