Taking it easy can be hard. As a mom, it’s hard to remember to treat yourself when you’re constantly thinking about everyone else. It is important to take time for yourself and I know it’s hard, believe me, but even if you have to schedule it in to your planner–do it.
Baths are a great way to relax, especially if you’re sore and with aches and pains. To make your bath extra special, make yourself some lavender green tea bath salts. The scent of lavender does wonders to sooth and the green tea invigorates your skin. It’s one of the easiest things to make for yourself or to whip up as a nice gift!
How to make lavender green tea bath salts:
You will need:
1/2 cup of Epsom Salts
1/2 cup of Sea Salts
2 TBSP loose leaf green tea -OR- the contents of 2 green tea bags
2 TBSP lavender
Throw your sea salt, epsom salt, green tea, and lavender together and mix! Boom you’re done!
Crazy easy right? If you’d like to make a different scented bath salt, start with the base of sea salt and epsom salt, then play around with different ingredients. The lavender green tea bath salts will last for a few months if kept in an air tight container. You can sprinkle a little in your bath or use it liberally. I usually use about half when taking a bath.
