This was my first year participating in the Great Food Blogger’s Cookie Swap. The cookie swap is done to raise money and bring awareness to childhood cancer. Hundreds of food bloggers sign up and are assigned bloggers to send cookies to. It’s a great cause and a fun way to find other fantastic blogs.
I had originally planned on making a gluten free, processed sugar free cookie, but I haven’t spent much time baking with the acceptable ingredients. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to come up with a good tasting one in the limited amount of time I had, so I went with what I knew. Next year, I’ll start working on a cookie recipe early so I can deliver a paleo version.
I ended up making delicious S’more cookies that my friend Amanda had given me one time. It’s still my favorite cookie, despite all the delicious ones I’ve had throughout my life. It’s filled with graham cracker goodness, marshmallows, and chocolate chips. Just as a S’more cookie should! Make sure you check back later as the recipe will be posted on the 16th!
I had three great bloggers send me delicious cookies!
Jennifer Perillo from In Jennie’s Kitchen sent me these gorgeous Italian Rainbow Cookies! They arrived in cute book box packaging and were scrumptious!
Lynn from Turnips 2 Tangerines sent me chocolate crinkles which were perfectly minty and of perfect texture.
Yasmine from Geek Grubs sent me Star Wars gingerbread cookies! So cute and tasty.
