Guys I’m moving!

It has been an incredibly stressful couple of months, but some pretty amazing things have happened too. So many life changes have been going on dealing with selling a house, looking for a house, deaths in the family, planning a long distance move, finding out we’re not moving long distance, and finding another house, actually moving out of the house, not having a place to call our own for a short while, and major changes in work. Wow. Just so much going on! I will tell you, I am really excited to be settled again and am ready for some down time.

The whole story is long, probably too long to keep your interest, so I’ll just skip to the end of it all.

We’ve decided to stay in California due to Chris’ work and because of this, I will be able to work on blogging full time. Woohoo! That’s pretty exciting for me. While we’re still a little sad because we won’t be moving to Oregon, we’re thrilled about the great opportunities for the both of us.

To help jump start everything (and to help me really focus on my voice and not sound so formal–I’m horrible at this!) I will be blogging daily in the month of September using prompts from Hello Neverland. They won’t be in the same order, and I’ll be changing some and adding a few of my own. I will also be participating in Wordless Wednesday. At the end of September, I will give my thoughts on blogging daily, and I’d love to hear your thoughts as well. I will work really hard at combining the prompts with recipes or some relation to food, but this might be a little difficult not having a place of our own yet. But I promise I will try!

Just for fun, here’s some pictures of the packing and the old kitchen (the vibrant blue won’t be in the food pictures anymore 🙁 ). I will certainly miss this place and all the good memories within those walls. I do look forward to decorating a new place and taking on the next chapter of our lives.
