- 1/2 Cup of Water
- 3/4 Cup of Light Corn Syrup
- 2 Cups of Granulated Sugar
- 1 Drop of food colouring (Use the gel kind. I used Wiltons)
- And you NEED NEED NEED a Candy Thermometer
- She also used flavoring, which I didn’t touch
Instructions
- Foil a baking sheet and coat with cooking spray
- Combine water, corn syrup, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves
- Bring to a boil and insert candy thermometer
- Cook until 285 degrees F
- Take off the heat and add food colouring and flavoring, stirring together
- Pour into baking sheet and let cool
- Break the candy to pieces and put on cupcakes 🙂
